To no one else I shall compare myself
Or attempt to parallel their pelf.
That may leave me sensing a void
And tempted to do deeds found in tabloids.
I shall respect others’ marriage union.
Why should I want to break their communion?
I shall covet no other woman’s spouse.
It is wrong to try to ruin her house.
Though I feel the sting of being lonely,
I shall get my man the right way only.
I must refrain from acts that are rotten.
How can I delight in bliss ill-gotten?
"Stolen waters are sweet" like a present,
"And bread eaten in secret is pleasant."
However, the solace lasts a short while.
Soon, the guilt of sin will remove the smile.
I shall keep myself under inspection,
Seeking for only lawful affection.
In sin's direction, I refuse to budge.
"Whoremongers...adulterers God will judge."
