In The Storm
He’ll come walking on the water
skipping o’er the waves of your storm
Reaching out his hand to hold you
keeping you safe from all harm
Healing eyes that have never seen
loosing tongues that haven’t spoken
Cleansing souls from the inside, out
mending lives that have been broken
Giving hope to the forlorn and weary
instilling peace where sadness dwelt
Whispering words of encouragement
allowing his presence to be felt
Never allowing us to walk alone
through a world of wicked temptation
Offering strength through the trials
extending mercy to every nation
He’ll place joy down in our soul
give us peace we can’t understand
He will lift us each time we stumble
hold us steady with his holy hand
He’ll smile at our determination
when we refuse to budge or relent
He’ll proudly say “this one is mine”
then reward us for time… well spent
He lingers near each hour of the day
when troubles around us swarm
The brightness in midst of darkness
the calm in the eye of the storm
