Why do you think you must earn My love
By doing everything you know to do?
My child, you didn't earn your salvation
But didn't I still save you?
Why are you afraid of being punished
For committing sins you're not supposed to?
My Son, Jesus, took your place
Because of His death, I'll always forgive you
Why do you think I won't always be there
For every problem you go through?
Didn't I save you from troubles before?
Why would I stop now from helping you?
Why do you look at what others have
And wonder why you don't have those things too?
Don't fix your eyes on gifts
But on the Giver who wants to bless you
Why do you not receive My love?
It's because you've done things noone knew;
You judge yourself, and think I do the same
Yet I'm still deeply in love with you
