Can you see through midnight
Feel the darkness settle around
Morning seems to never come
The sense of being earthbound

Loneliness for the break of light
To come through, yet another day
How precious the sight of dawn
Taking solace in the Son rayís

I pray, never again this black void
Alone with self, and full of regret
Son of God, our righteous Saviour
Give me Your Light, Your Sonset

So many smiles , less the heart
A walking, talking empty shell
Hateful, hurtful, centered pain
Countless souls with a story to tell

Fill me with Your love and passion
Iíve been the one in indigo plight
Gone the heartache of being alone
Saved, with Morning Star rights !!!

This poem is heart-wrenching. You depict the DARKness very well. Most people living in a city don't KNOW what dark is. I do. I once lived out in the country where, on a starless night, the DARK was so black that you could FEEL it. It penetrates to the centre of one's being. This dark that you depicted is like that, only it speaks of spiritual darkness. Even as a Christian, one can often feel that the DARKness of soul will swallow you up. THEN COMES THE MORNING STAR. What a glorious relief! ... Well-written poem...Sorry I haven't been able to get to read too many of your articles lately. My latest article will explain. That, and many other circumstances have kept me from reading and writing....Blessings...Helen

Well done, Judy. Another excellent poem from the heart. I particularly loved the final stanza.

A beautiful poem on the Morning Star. I agree with Lynne; the last stanza is great.
