ďFocus on your right nowĒ is something that I often have to say when someone tells me that they donít know what theyíre going to do about tomorrow. As a matter of fact Iíve begun to say this more and more to my 10 year old daughter with each passing day. This doesnít just stop with my daughter but itís also applies to myself as well as my husband.
Since we donít know the first thing about tomorrow and or what will happen (James 4:14 TM), why is it that our attention is shoved off of today and pushed onto tomorrow? Let me ask you another question. Why didnít God give us the ability to see the events that would take place when He formed us if His intentions were for us to focus on 5 things instead of 1?
Matthew 6:34 CEV says don't be concerned about tomorrow for it will take care of itself. Instead concentrate on today because it has enough concern of its own. How true that is! With each new day there are a different set of challenges that weíre meant to face, so having said that donít waste your time trying to figure what tomorrow will be when it hasnít even gotten here yet.
Heavenly Father give us this day, our daily bread (Matthew 6:11 NKJV)!
