A joyous light has filled the skies
As a star comes shooting down…
A startling calm is in the air
And peace is all around…
You feel your heart and soul arise
As your spirit now take flight…
There is no doubt they are in your midst,
And are filled with God’s own light…
The angels come to calm your fears
When the worries just won’t hide;
The angels come to be with you,
When you face the Great Divide.
The angels come when the hurts are deep
And the tears won’t cease to flow;
The angels come to carry you
To where God’s light will grow.
A moment’s grace in the midst of rain,
Before he felt the nails…
A moment’s truth that he declares:
“God’s will is what prevails!”
Though the body broke at the hands of men
Who knew not what they’ve done…
The angels had encircled him,
For he was the Righteous Son!
The angels came on that dark day,
And were present ‘til the end;
With praises to our God on High,
Their faith knows not to bend.
They are sent by God to show His grace
In the places our hearts hide…
They are sent to free the bitterness
That plagues us deep inside.
The angels come to ease the hurts
When the world becomes too cold…
The angels come to show the way:
There are wonders to behold!
They come your way by His commands;
You are His precious child!
Each time you’ve felt His love break through,
Oh, know His heart had smiled!
