I’m going to a place that is prepared for me,
Reward is forever in the presence of God,
For I trust in Jesus and he set me free,
It is worth the effort needed to walk the narrow road.
As I keep my eye on Heaven and walk a dying land,
My heart is heavy laden by what my eyes behold,
I see a blinded people, held down by Satan’s hand,
And I ask myself who will I see, in the Promised Land?
(Chorus)
O’ will I see my family, who search but do not find,
O’ will I see my work mates, worldly fools and blind,
Who will be there to share with me the Father’s brilliant love,
Who will I see, who will I see when I reach my home above.
There is no one who lives outside our sovereign Lord’s command,
His hand is on the universe, created by his will,
He wants to reach out to all men, salvation is the goal,
But man must move to bridge the gap formed by his sin.
And I see men puffed up with pride in the glories of the world,
And I hear their boasts and revelries to all those who will hear,
Their secret things will be revealed when wrath's flag is unfurled,
And I ask myself, who will I see in the Promised Land?
