As humans we have a tendency to become complacent and don’t seek to stand and live on truth, our foundations are weak. Many of us have bought into lies and we simply continue to live them without question. We’ve learned and adapted along the way. We don’t question what we’ve learned from our previous generations who have taught us to do the same. Our human nature is in control and we’re asleep at the wheel. Our spirit desperately longs to be loved and many don’t understand that what they have perceived as love, is not real. They don’t know where to find it or how to get it.
True believers have the Spirit of Truth, our flesh chooses to believe lies. The flesh is in control, the enemy is winning the battle. The world is spiritually starving and desperately longing to be loved.
Once upon a time, we learned about God, His truths and His true love, when He walked on the earth. Man drove him away. Then he sent His Son, who walked the earth with us and taught us His Father’s ways. Man murdered him. Now the Holy Spirit walks the earth through true believers. Man can’t drive Him away. The Spirit of Truth dwells in true believers and man cannot control Him. But man can get in the way and choose to be ineffective.
We (all true believers), were designed to shine, but not alone. The Holy Spirit provides the power and we have to plug into it. Our source for this power comes from reading His word and praying. If we’re going to shine and be the light that Christ has appointed all believers to be, we need this source. When we aren’t plugged in, we are left to function from the energy of our flesh, and we’re wearing ourselves out! When we serve from the energy of our flesh, the world doesn’t come to know Christ, there is no light within us. The lights are on but Christ can’t be found in us because it’s not shining bright enough.
Man used to learn directly from God, then through Jesus, now they learn through the true believers. We have got to walk in the Spirit, not the flesh, this world needs to know Jesus.
