The Vineyard

The Father has a vineyard here on earth, He sent His Son
To be rooted into mankind through His birth, to be “The One”.
Each man could graft his life into this Vine, and grow in grace,
As he’s life bore fruit so man could make him wine, so sweet to taste.
With this wine and Bread of Life he’d nurture other souls in need,
Nourishing, encouraging, sisters, brothers, friends in deed.

The foe will seek to break man from this branch, he takes his time,
To see man grow new roots in lies and filth, and nurture crime.
This strange vine now bears fruit that’s bad and that ferments and stews,
Man drinks this wine of wrath from grapes that soured as they grew.
Cut loose from this strange vine! Your prayers to God sound the alarm
He can wield the Sword of Truth and graft you back into His arms
