I know my God is everywhere
He knows everything, sees everything
From Him I can hide nothing.
If I go to land’s end, He is there
If I hide in a rock, He is a Rock
If I enter heaven, it is His domain
If I go to hell, it is still His terrain.
Therefore Holy Spirit, I surrender
I hand myself over to You, totally
I am Your prisoner, your slave
Have mercy and raise me from the grave.
O God, give me a song in my night
I am tired of running from pillar to post
Lift the barrier, open the prison doors
Teach me to obey your Laws.
Come, Holy Spirit, Come Comforter
Come and breathe a New Life on me
Come and renew my strength this day
Come and show me your righteous way.
If climb to the top of Everest
I am still within your reach
If I dive and duck under Mississippi
That is also your citadel
The more I run from you the closer I get to you
Just like Saul on the way to Damascus
Who can flee from your presence?
Who can escape your gaze?
