I am going to mention some faults I have with the Internet. They are my own personal experiences, that I will caution any newbie to the internet to be aware.
I had somebody, I donítí know who, made a charge to my bank account of $197.00 and my people who handle my online Internet banking transactions for me, would not try to get the money back for me.
When they pay a vendor they are supposed to get an email address and a telephone number.
They provided a phone number but it was an overseas number, and that was too expensive to
make, no address but the name of the vendor. I googled the name of the vendor. It was a
business in India, run by two men from India. I didnít figure I needed it or ordered it. Anyway,
I am fussy about using goods made in USA.
Paypal decided to not investigate it, and they were not nice about it.
Another thing I personally don't like is the grammar and misspelling in a lot of
correspondence I receive, when they could outsource it or use spellchecker. [All computers come with a spellchecker.]
I have been known to hit the unsubscribe button(always at the very bottom of every email you get [supposed to be] and the sad part of it is hardly anybody pays attention to the unsubscribe notice. Consequently I continue to get junk mail, sometimes 4 or 5 pitching the same item.
Generally, I think a computer is a good thing. it is just the people who misuse the computer that I myself object to
