Moses was quiet and heard the Lords voice,
God told him his will then gave him a choice,
So he went to see Pharaoh to give him the news,
That the time had now come to release the Hebrews.
But Pharaoh was mad and his heart was made hard,
He would not give an inch and never a yard,
He held onto God’s people, wouldn’t let them go free,
Which was a mistake, I’m sure you’ll agree.
So God put plagues upon Pharaoh’s land,
And used Moses as his earthly right hand,
There were Locusts, Toads, blood and still more,
Then the Angel of death knocked upon every door.
So Pharaoh called Moses and told him to leave,
For the death of his firstborn Son he did grieve,
Take what you can and depart from our land,
For against your God’s wrath we can no longer stand.
Then Moses led Israel across the Red Sea,
To the place where God said they were destined to be,
Through mountains and wilderness, hot desert sand,
Until they finally set foot in God’s promised land.
