God will keep me, if I want to be kept.
He has never slumbered nor has He slept.
He will not suffer my foot to be moved.
His ability has before been proved.
I will lift up my eyes unto the hills.
I shall dismiss the luring of quick thrills.
The Lord will preserve my soul from evil.
He will settle my body’s upheaval.
All of my help comes from the Lord above.
He cares for me and demonstrates His love.
I go boldly unto His throne of grace.
I find comfort in His tender embrace.
God understands my desires and my needs.
In the paths of righteousness, He will lead.
Temptation—He will make way to escape.
He will deliver before sin takes shape.
