I need not your approval

I need not your approval

I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preach isn't something that man made up. I didn't receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by a revelation (a dramatic disclosure of something not previously known or realized) from Jesus Christ Himself (Galatians 1:11&12).

Her/his words sound like mindless chatter and her/his ways are that of a madman/woman. Or at least that's what it seems like to those who haven't come into agreement with the spirit that they've been entrusted with (1 Corinthians 12:7 NIV). Again I say I need NOT your approval.

Throughout the Bible we see several examples of people acting in ways that make no sense at all. I.e. Moses striking a rock and expecting water to come from it (Numbers 20:11); Gideon telling his troop that they would use no weapons to defeat the Midianites but only trumpets, jars and torches (Judges 7:19&20 TM) and or David using a rock and a rubber band (1 Samuel 17:49 NIV) to defeat a man 10 times his size. I would imagine that if you and I had been present when those events had taken place we would've been shaking our heads and asking what the heck are they doing.

The bottom line is if what you're doing is of God (Acts 5:39 NIV) you need not any approval or recognition from your Pastor, the President and or the Queen of England. When you do start feeling like you need acceptance then it's time to ask yourself: Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God (Galatians 1:10 NIV); Am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God (Galatians 1:10 NASB) and or Do I now persuade men, or God? (Galatians 1:10 KJV)? As the Bible says in Matthew 6:24 TM adoration of one feeds contempt for the other, therefore you can't please men and God.

Live for God and not people!
