THE EELSVALE PAGES

Hood turns freelance

It was announced last night that Detective Hood has quit the Eelsvale Detecting Agency and will be working freelance. No reason has yet been given.

Hood is known for being the island’s only shipwreck survivor, at three weeks old. He became a Detective aged 20 and quickly rose to be one of the Agency’s leading talents, along with Detective Tarryn with whom he was partnered. Tarryn has not yet offered any comment on the matter.

Lead Detective, Bard, who had received his promotion the day Hood joined, assured The Eelsvale Pages that Hood had not been fired, and no incident has led to this.

However, Hood’s relationship with island millionaire, The Count, has been linked to numerous incidents, including Hood’s one year suspension in 4012. The Count named himself Hood’s guardian a week after Hood was found and adopted by Madame Crane, and was his one-time landlord. Over the years The Count has been suspected of murder, blackmail, and bribery. He was cleared on each, although was placed under house arrest in 4018.

One source suggested The Count may be sponsoring Hood’s independence from the Detecting Agency. This is unconfirmed.

Hood can now be found at 3 May Road, Eelsvale.
