Father GOD, in the name of Jesus, we need You this day as we do every day. You are the only true SOURCE all else is a resource. Thank you, Lord, for your love and concern for us and for how You defend the righteous. You are a promise keeper and Your Words never return void. There is nothing that happens that You do not know about before it occurs. You govern all because the Holy Bible powerfully informs us that You have preeminence over all things, that You are before all things, and that by You all things consist. You inform Your holy people that we are of You and for us to be of good cheer because You have overcome the world.
Jeremiah 25:30 states, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation: he shall mightily roar upon his habitation: he shall give a shout,
Proverbs 28:1: The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Proverbs 30:30: A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turned not away for any;
Thank you, Lord, that we can be brave only because You are the bravest, and You invest in us, Your faithful people - Your characteristics.
1 Chronicles 12:8: men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions,
Father, in Your Word, it states that JESUS is the Lamb of GOD (John 1:29) and the Lion of the tribe of Juda (Revelation 5). Father, we need You to please teach us how to have the characteristics of the Lamb and the Lion to be used wisely for Your glory only, and for the advancement of Your kingdom. Help us, please, to embrace Your full gospel so that we will strive not to add to Your Word nor subtract from it. The whole counsel of GOD is what we need not portions or segments of Your gospel but the true fullness of it exercised in our lives.
Some perceive You as a harsh judge, and others perceive You as a wimp but we know You as a Holy GOD who is tender with a still small voice but we also know You as the Judge of the earth who roars, and thunders. You are justified when you are tender, and You are justified when You express wrath because You are the most High who rules and does whatsoever You please as the Creator of all. Lord, I so appreciate Your sovereignty it is absolutely awesome!
The Devil created nothing. He is Your creation. He exists on Your radar on Your agenda on Your time schedule a puppet on Your string. Satan is used by You for a variation of purposes but a main purpose for his existence is to prove that he cannot conquer or stop You. He fights with the power that You allow him. In essence, he is Your flunky used for Your holy purposes. My prayer is that You will deliver people from the power of the Devil and into Your awesome incomparable power that cannot be overcome. Those who live uprightly are protected from, and have power over the most evil one, Satan! Yes, he fights us but as long as we cleave to You, Lord, the Devil cannot prevail against us (Jeremiah 1:19). Thank you, Lord.
Father, lead us to steadfastly think righteous thoughts, say righteous words, and to do righteous deeds.
