Man in his arrogance believes that he is in charge.
He falsely thinks that he can rule the world or even himself.
Kings believe that they rule the nations and set the order of things.
The general believes that he rules his soldiers.
The soldier believes that they determined the outcome of the battle.
The wealthy trust that their dollars protect them from troubles.
Wall Street and government bailout are not the answer.
In the end the barns may be full but they will burn.
The sick trust that the doctor is the answer
But some live that they say should die,
And some die that they thought they could save
Parents hope that they can control their child.
The child always has a mind of their own, and always knows best.
Man proudly lifts his head and says, “I can do it by myself.”
Pride comes before our fall and You step up
And show us just what we can do on our own.
We are all fools for God alone determine the fate of the Earth.
The farmer still knows just who holds the rain and sunshine
And who cause the sun and moon to come up.
The poor, helpless and enslaved still know from where their help comes
And it is not from the government reforms, but You.
You will take the wealth from the wicked and give it to the righteous.
One day a little nation, Israel, will defeat the world’s great army
Because You have said it will be and your word will come to pass.
You will bring a ruler to power and bring down the world’s king.
You will cease all wars and declare peace.
The fate of the world and man is in Your hands alone.
We only dream of having Your power and control
Just as Satan did before he was kick out of heaven.
The cross striped away the last of his power
Forever placing him under Christ authority.
You alone will always be most High.
