I have a special person in mind
A person who is kind
One who comforted me when I was sad,
Who was there for me when I was glad,
Who disciplined me when I was bad.
Who was there when I was ill,
In fever or chill.
This is dedicated to my mother.
For me there is no other.
For it is she
Who helped me
To be
The writer I am today,
And I pray
That God will give her a long life,
Full of happiness, and free of strife.
