The music plays,
And everyone stays
To hear the jazz,
Which has some pizazz.
They want to hear songs by the Duke, and the Count.
Songs by the Satchmo, Benny Goodman, and Herb Alpert, and as they do, their pleasure mounts
The tunes are played from bands both near and far.
Located in Churchill Square, and also in places such as bars.
While they played, the weather was fair.
Yet magic was in the air.
Jazz City was a music festival combined with the Works, a festival displaying Art
Each one speaks to the heart
They're a great combo, just like the played songs
Both festivals are where they belong
For they are both art,
And it would be wrong to set them appart.
