When all is not right
After a fight,
Love transcends
And helps you look around the bend.
When with someone you love you are curt
and they are hurt,
Love transcends
And mends.
When someone you love is ill,
And has no strength or will,
Love transcends,
And with God's help, against the evil, you defend.
When you've made a muddle,
And you've received a hug or a cuddle,
Love transcends,
And you try not to do it again.
When love's emotions
Feel like a commotion,
Love transcends,
And in your heart more doors are opened.
When continuity is a fad
And you feel mad,
Love transcends,
And comprehends.
When someone has done you wrong,
And betrayal is your song,
Love transcends,
And helps bring forgiveness as well as amends.
Love can be between a man and a woman,
Or between friends.
God's love transcends
And will be with us until the end.
