I gaze upon the beauty of a bright blue, azure sky.
There is sadness in my heart, because I soon must say good bye;
To a land that abounds with beauty, a land that’s blessed by God,
A land that I’ve learned to appreciate, and feel blessed to trod.
Mellow, black soil, in the fields, farmers preparing seed beds;
Soon to be filled with beautiful sunflowers, bowing their heads.
Old Jack is barking, proclaiming his protection through the night.
He’s protected the home we stay in, and everything seems right.
Soon we will be flying to the place God gave us to call home.
We are very thankful we’ve been blessed with ability to roam;
To meet with many people, and to share the love of our God,
To help some with their problems, due to the path they have trod.
So, as we say “good-bye,” we will pray that we may soon return
To encourage those we’ve met, and show love for those, we yearn.
If God has different plans, we will yield to His most perfect will.
He’ll send others to take our place, for His love continues still.
