How many times have you been told by someone, probably a parent, “I have your best interest at heart”; or, “I’m only thinking about what is good for you.”? God is so beautifully saying that to you in this verse, dear one.
Why do we have the instinct to touch the wall when the sign says “Wet Paint”? Why are we so tempted to put our foot on the sidewalk that clearly is marked “Wet Cement”? Always we seem to be drawn to experience the uncharted territory and test the forbidden.
Dear one, God has a plan for your life. Plan “A” is the best, first choice. There may be a Plan “B” or even a “C”, but they are not His Ideal for your life. He has a plan for your good, not for evil…and there is an expected “end” that He desires for you. Don’t miss the “end of the story” by detouring around Plan “A”. He has life mapped out for you. Stay in touch with the Planner. He will go with you through the entire journey. Even if the journey seems a bit bumpy at times, He is there to hold your hand and to remind you that He has big plans for you. Hold on!
“Father, There is no other to whom I may turn in trust to follow for the plans of my life. I thank you that you love me this much; your plans are for my good and not for evil. Father, when I cannot see the way, let me feel your hand! Amen”
