Jesus did not answer a word-Matthew 15:23 NIV
I've prayed to Him and I just don't think that He heard me because I all received was silence. Later on I decided to try it again but still I heard nothing. Okay this is my last time! I closed my eyes, got on my knees and went to my secret place then poured my heart out to Him and to my surprise He give no reply. How many of you have been in this place before?
When we think that God (notice I said think) has turned a deaf ear to our prayers and or request it's very easy to get frustrated with Him. Sometimes within that frustration we can even decide that we're not going pray anymore. It's not hard to make that decision when we feel that our prayers are meaningless to God.
Remember when I said we THINK that God has turned a deaf ear to our prayers? Well this couldn't be any more true than pink elephants being able to fly. If God never leaves or forsakes us (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV) how then will He turn a deaf ear to our prayers?
God's delay in answering us or our perceived silence is an attempt to make us be STILL (free of disturbance, agitation or commotion-Psalm 46:10 NIV), therefore bringing our attention back to Him.

Many, if not all, have experienced the 'silence' you speak of. Personally, I have found it very helpful to use that silence to praise HIM and thank Him for all his blessings. Thanks for sharing this.
