My 48 hours in Phoenix is at an end and I find the press coverage of immigration is focused to stimulate the wrong debate. Yes, there is a problem and yes both Mexico and the U.S. Govt. require action. Although, reasonable controls over the situation, without prejudicial indifference. To treat individuals with respect is essential. The Bible state, love you brother as you love yourself. If you mistreat your brother, even if he or she is not a US citizen what love do you have for yourself?
The bigger picture must focus on creating a suitable living environment for the Mexican citizen in Mexico. The U.S. must reduced their dependence on drugs and cheap labor and promote a lifestyle consistent in wholeness. Mexico wouldn’t provide the product of choice, its people. If the demand for drugs and cheap labor evaporated, suppliers’ filling a business requirement becomes mute.
Why isn’t our unemployed in the U.S. not filling the business needs of it capitalistic lifestyle? If you didn’t hold money higher than your self-worth; your people would perform work currently held by un-documented workers. What can Mexico do to increase the self-worth for their people, to stem the tide of workers into the U.S. market? I guess if we all exhibited more self control we wouldn’t be in this situation.
You want immigration controlled; stop promoting an environment where it is in control.
