An important fact you must understand
Is that it's a blessing to keep God's commands.
They are proof of your knowledge of Him above;
They are evidence that Jesus you do love.
Length of days and peace will they bring unto you.
Do them: they're your right to the tree of life, too.
Before God, fail to put any thing or any one,
For the Lord of Hosts—is second to none.
Be not found before a graven image knelt
'Cause when you're in trouble, it won't help.
Dare not to use the Lord's holy name in vain,
For the stain of guilt, you shall surely obtain.
Forget not to keep holy God's special day;
The rest for your body and soul will much pay.
Obey your parents and enjoy long life;
You can prevent yourself a great deal of strife.
Be not responsible for another's death;
That life isn't yours—you'd be committing theft.
Lie not with another man's or woman's mate;
When you marry, you just might have the same fate.
Another man's possessions, please do not steal;
If you were the owner, think how you would feel.
Utter not a lie about your fellow man;
You will be a victim of your own plan.
Long not after what is not or can't be yours;
Doing so will just cause you heartaches galore.
The conclusion: Fear God, and keep His commands.
Before Him in righteousness, you will then stand.
