I saw a host of heavenly beings floating around like butterflies
With flutes and harps of gold and precious stones
The music they made could bring the dead back to life
So enchanting, so anointed.
One of my two escorts then whispered to me
‘You will soon know your fate in eternity’
Then the other guide asked me
‘Do you now believe in heaven and hell?’
I quickly answered, ‘Yes, my Lord,’ to which he retorted
‘You shall not commit this abomination here
For I’m not even worthy to sit near His throne.’
All of a sudden, I saw myself transported as it were
To what I believe was the mountain of the Lord
Its radiance was electrifying
I saw twenty-four angelic creatures
Seated around this bewildering edifice.
The radiance on the peak of this structure blighted my sight
Again, I fell flat on my face, shivering in fear
Then I heard what I thought was
‘Behold the lamb that takes away the sins of men.’
The Lord Speaks
I heard as it were a sound of a billion trumpets
And there was a shaking all around me
A voice within whispered to me to turn and look.
Still lying prostrate, I stole a glance
I saw on the summit a mist like a cloud
On top of it sat one like a man
I could not see his features clearly
His face was completely hidden from me
As a result of the brightness of the glory around his head.
Then the moment of truth
I heard him speak
He spoke in my own language
As He spoke, the creatures around the summit
Bowed down in worship
And as he spoke, sparks of lightning
Appeared to be coming out of his mouth.
I saw flames of fire accompanying each word
And I heard Him say to me,
‘Oh great queen, how art thou fallen so low?
You are not worthy to behold my glory.’
