God ordained me as a Pastor July 2008. I have been overwhelmed ever since.
I never desired or asked for the office. I was content to evangelize and to lead praise and worship. I hoped that I would get a break. Maybe just maybe the job would get easier. Well it didn’t.
God had other plans for my life. It all started with one word, “Yes”. God knew that I desired to see his will here on earth. With that one word everything changed. The test got hotter and the trials longer. I had to walk away from my passions to focus more diligently on what God desired.
In maturing me to be a shepherd he had to teach me total dependency on him. He taught me to consult him for the simplest things as well as some colossal thing. He strengthened my faith. He will never give you a task that he hasn’t prepared you for.
Never say what you cannot do for him. He will prove you wrong. No one knows your potential like he does and your purpose and destiny is in him. He waits to perform his plan in those who love him. He knows that you are ready even when you feel you are not. He has justified you for the task. Just allow him to use you. The process and plan of God is to utilize his people to fulfill his purpose and walk in their destiny.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)
I see many who fight against what God has released for them feeling that it is too much for them. When you and God work together or shall I say when you yield for God to work through you there will be a manifestation of his power. There will be confirmation by his might. There will be provisions for whatever you need.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23 (KJV)
Let God take you on the journey. Yield your members to him. Live peaceably with all men. Trust him to be God and he will ready you for the work. When he calls you out of what is comfortable and cozy. Do not squeal, “Are you kidding!” but embrace your destiny. Walk in your purpose and know that you are on assignment for the Most High God.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, neither dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
