No one ever tells you
The pain you must endure
When you let your heart feel the rain
Then the fog leaves life obscure.
No one ever tells you
How many tears you will cry
Because there isn't always answers
To the question ... why.
No one ever told me
And perhaps it is just.
For if I never opened my heart,
I wouldn't know what it means to trust.
Sometimes I feel like there is no reason
To put myself through so much pain
But than I recall the sweetest feeling
Of a mid-summer rain
Would I take it back?
But what would I become?
I'd rather feel both joy and grief
Than walk this life numb.
No one ever tells you
Life is a perfect score.
Rightly said, for who would want
To be still when you can soar?
Sometimes I feel like there is no reason
To put myself through so much pain.
But than I recall the sweetest feeling
Of a mid-summer rain.

Sometimes putting our trust in people is hard, but oh the joys of good friends and family. Of course, putting our trust in God is most important. I enjoyed your poem. Very poignant.
