In The midnight hour,
when there is no on else there,
No one to hear my cry,
No one that seemed to care.
In the quiteness of that hour,
I heard a still small voice;
and even in my sorrow,
it made my heart rejoice.
For in that instance,
I knew I was not alone;
that I was not forsaken
but that God was still on his throne.
That he still reigned with power, wisdom and majesty; That he came to be by my side
to give me peace, direction and to rescue me.
There is no one else like him,
who emulates such love.
So when no one else is there,
I can look to my heavenly father above.
There's nothing to hard for him,
there's nothing he can't do.
so when you call upon him,
remember, He's the one who's tried and true;
and he will always be there my friend to answer you.
To lift you up and carry you onward,
and supply your every need, for remember, after all, God still reigns supreme.
