A MOTHER'S DAY POEM

Mothers are a special creation
given by God to bring laughter and love.

They help us see God's wonderful blessings
and stir in our hearts His glory above.

When we are young we sit upon her lap
and gaze into her beautiful eyes.

If we listen carefully and obey
we will later become wise.

Mothers are God's special angels,
given to take care of our needs.

They teach us how to love one another
and become a person of good deeds.

They teach us how to read the Bible
and teach us how to pray.

They try to be a good example
so we will be like them someday.

We thank God for all the mothers
who work, and toil, and play.

Who leave their mark above all others
each and every day.

So on this day of celebration
May all mothers have a day of rest.

Because they have helped us all
become our very best.
