If we only had meat to eat! Now the Lord will give you meat and you will eat it. You will not eat it for just one, two, five, ten or even twenty days but for the entire month. You will eat it until it comes out of your nostrils (Numbers 11:18-20 NIV).
I bet Moses was saying to himself why are these people asking for meat when God has already provided us with manna (cakes that tasted like theyíd been baked with oil and raw manna tasted like wafers that had been made with honey).
Itís funny to me that when God gives us something that weíve asked for we often times fail to see the entire blessing. Iím not ashamed to admit that Iíve done that several times because it wasnít exactly what Iíd been hoping for. Iíve even been so bold to asked God ďdidnít you hear me because this isnít what I prayed forĒ. Well to my benefit He had heard me and in an attempt to keep me from loathing it (as in verse 20) He gave me just what was needed.
So if God gives us just what we need, why is it that we continue to ask for what we already have? Now let that weigh in on your brain the next time your prayed about blessing is right in your hands
