She gathered her spices
and was on her way
in search of her Lord
on resurrection day
She ran to the tomb
the stone rolled away
her Lord was gone
oh what would they say?
She stood there weeping
and as she glanced up
two angels appeared
“oh do not give up”
She turned back around
and was asked who she sought
“where have they laid him?
for how much was he bought?”
The man said her name
Mary called him “Rabboni”
he said “tell the others
I’m not dead here am I”
As fast as she could
she told the rest
their Lord has risen
mankind is blessed
