In blackest hours
An anguished cry
Split light
From darkness
It is finished!
Ancient temples
Trembled
A veil of sin tore
God stepped in
And routed powers
Of hell
Principalities fell
Forever doomed
Eternity rejoiced
As sons of God
Inherited grace
Heavens rang for joy
Dawn and evening sang
Knowing this was His time
Of glorious triumph
A champion’s race run
Everlasting life real
Every battle won!
