Prophecy
I recently asked a sister to pray for me regarding the issue of Godly Friendship. To my delight and surprise her simple response to me was, "always remain mindful of His promises for you and remember He is your Friend." I was delighted and surprised because this marvelous truth had not entered into my spirit until it came by the revelation of this Word. It brought great comfort and clarity. It also gave me strategy as I move forward. In speaking to me about friendship the Lord led me a passages of scripture that surprisingly shows that a friend loves at all time and is confident of our ability to overcome and walk victorious in the plan and provision of God even as we walk through the most difficult of circumstances. As The Lord began to unravel this revelation to me the only question I was left asking Him is, “Is it all just a test of our friendship?”
Job 1:6-12 (The MSG) The First Test: Family and Fortune “One day when the angels came to report to God, Satan, who was the Designated Accuser, came along with them. God singled out Satan and said, "What have you been up to?" Satan answered God, "Going here and there, checking things out on earth." 8 God said to Satan, "Have you noticed my friend Job? There's no one quite like him—honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil." 9-10 Satan retorted, "So do you think Job does all that out of the sheer goodness of his heart? Why, no one ever had it so good! You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his family or his possessions, bless everything he does—he can't lose! 11 "But what do you think would happen if you reached down and took away everything that is his? He'd curse you right to your face, that's what." 12 God replied, "We'll see. Go ahead—do what you want with all that is his. Just don't hurt him." Then Satan left the presence of God.
The truth of the matter is that even the devil knows of Gods provision and protection and His faithfulness and loyalty even as we suffer great loss and discouragement in this life. The devil says, “Why, no one ever had it so good! You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his family or his possessions, bless everything he does—he can't lose!” Yes in this season the Lord is saying it to you, “YOU CANT LOSE” and even your enemy knows it, so do not be afraid, I am THE FRIEND THAT STICKS CLOSER THAN A BROTHER. I am confident that you can go through this test because I am confident in your friendship. You will not fail.”
