God is my anchor in the troubled waters
he is that captain upon the raging sea
And my life-line when attacked by troubles
my God is everything to me
Ahoy! O ship you won't suffer a shipwreck
for God will keep you safe and sound
And your sails of faith will not be broken
because his word won't let you down
No depths of the sea can take you out
when the safety-gear's in place
So O ship don't fear, for God is near
to help in whatever you face

of the waves that come so high
And he will see you through the troubled waters

When anchored in God we're safe and secure
and made strong to endure each test
For he keeps us calm while on this journey
and on him we can surly rest
O' ship don't fear, but, let the captain steer
for he knows every exit on this route
Just sail on and enjoy the cruise
