No one knows her by name
She’s the lady on the street
She could be any one of us
But no one we’d like to meet
She struggles through each day
Searching for food and money
In the dumpsters, in the trash
Hoping for a day warm and sunny
For she’s down on her luck
And she manages somehow
But to us we turn our heads
As walking by we wipe our brow
She needs Jesus,
We need to show her Jesus
As she pushes her grocery cart
Full of all she has in this life
We look the other way
For engaging her
Would cut us like a knife
As she passes we bow our heads
Pray a quick prayer of hope
That some way she finds Jesus
Instead of hopeless street dope
For she is down on her luck
And she manages somehow
But to us we turn our heads
As walking by we wipe our brow
She needs Jesus,
We need to show her Jesus
Bridge:
If we don’t show her
The love of God, who will?
Is there anyone out there
That cares still?
She needs Jesus, how do we help her?
She needs Jesus
