Soul Food for Thought

It has been expressed to me lately that we as humans have no soul, that it is a myth. Hum, interesting theory, but how do we feel then? How do we love? How do we enjoy happiness and joy? We can't!! Not without a soul! The Bible says: "As the Lord lives, who made our very souls..." Jeremiah 38:16. "Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live." Isaiah 55:3. The famous 23rd Psalm says "He restores my soul;" Psalm 139:14 says "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well." Jesus himself said in Matthew 22:37 "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind"... v:38--"This is the first and great commandment." So to love others and to love God we must have a soul. For if we feel good and bad, happiness and trouble, we must have a soul. Jesus said "Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father glorify Your name." John 12:27-28. Even Jesus felt his soul in trouble but yet was about to glorify his Father God's name because of his SOUL.
The Bible goes on and on expressing our existence through our essence of our soul. But if one does not believe in the Bible, then how can we still prove to them that there is such thing as a soul?? Let's see what the Merriam-Webster Dictionary says the soul is.... "actuating cause of an individual life." The moving cause of our lives... therefore it is my understanding that Merriam-Webster is stating that we cannot exist living without a soul. It is the reason that we live...
The one who states there is no such thing as a soul is a fool. He belongs to the land of the lost and discounts all life. Those type of people have no hope. There is no future for them. They cannot love or experience full joy of a miracle of their new born baby. They cannot truly love their spouse unconditionally and experience the grandness that God gave us in marriage. They will cease to exist and on judgment day will be thrown into the pit of fire.
