We walk the sidewalks in the cities, the sandy beaches of the coastlines, and the pathways of gardens and forests searching for peace. We climb the tallest peaks and don't know why.
Our minds spew exquisitely painful thoughts and emotions of our past and our fears of a seemingly unknown future haunt and leave nothing but the futility of life.
We try to drown them out with constant noise, work and play but, nonetheless,the agonizing thoughts creep in; no quiet time do we seek. We would prefer chaos to quiet.
Graveyards are quiet places yet angels weep as they hear tormented souls from below screaming, "Give me another chance.” But all hope is gone. The tortured souls desperate for relief find none.
Those of us who seek the truth through quiet introspection connect and become one with their Creator receive joy and peace abounding. But for the rest of humanity there is no peace.
