God gave me the sight to see
the gift He has given me.
My breath,my life,my home, my heart,
the hearth of a family.
Loneliness knows not my name,
emptiness too, feels the same.
Strangers they are, for here in my heart,
I never will call their names.
Instead, abundance is mine,
as sure as the sun does shine!
Of all the mystics and saints that have lived,
I'm thankful for this life of mine.
God gave opportunity,
Believing His life in me,
ego has died, as has selfish pride,
for God gave me sight to see.
When my eyes and heart leaves home,
I've always the telephone,
connected am I, while strangers pass by,
love tells me, I'm never alone.
