Ants eat clothes. Fire-ants inhabited not only the closet, but also the bed-clothes, and the refrigerator.
How do I react to such things as little ants? What do I do when they're in a multi-colored dress and I cannot see them? Fire-ants sting.
Paul counselled young Timothy: "Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity" (I Timothy 4:12, KJV).
I am not so young anymore, but God wants me also to be an example to other believers in what I say, in the way I live, in love in action, in my attitudes, in faith and in purity.
If I rejoice in the Lord even when the ants get my crackers, I will lift others up. But if I get bitter when my feet feel like they are on fire, I will drag others down with me.
Oh Lord, help me to be spirited, not dismal. Help me remember that even when I crawl in my sheets and the ants sting me, Thou art there. When the devil tries to get me down, let me come forth as pure gold. Help me in the way I react when ants crawl in my cupboards and refrigerator.
