PURGE OUT THE OLD LEAVEN
I Cor. Chapters 5 and 6 (presented below article)
When a congregation has Communion, then all malice and wickedness must go, and we need to take the bread of sincerity and truth.
The church in many instances is allowing wickedness to be in the leadership; not to mention in the congregations. This situation needs to change.
If any person that is called a brother is a fornicator, covetous, an extortioner, an idolater, a railer, or a drunkard with "such" an one no not to eat (I Cor. 5:9-11),
The true Christians who are walking in harmony with The Lord Jesus Christ and His Word are commanded to judge those within the church. God judges all those who are without the church.
The Lord commands His people to put out of the church all of the wicked persons who say that they are Christians (I Cor. 5:11-13).
In I Cor. 6:1-4, The Word of God tells the Christians that we will be judging the world, and the angels. We are told to appoint a Christian who is least esteemed in the church to judge matters of this life.
All of my Christian life, I have had other Christians saying that we as Christians were not to judge. We seem to take off on the Scripture that says judge not lest ye be judged.
I have since learned that if we judge others with unrighteous or unfair judgement; then we will be judged accordingly.
In I Cor. 5, it is written to admonish the church "to" judge the wicked and to put him or her out of the church. It is very clear that to judge the people in the churches that are called Christians and especially the leadership is required of all Christians.
Today, we have people in the leadership with titles, such as, Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Evangelist and Teacher that have left their spouses (without Biblical grounds), and are continuing on in leadership positions. The Bible tells us that if a person divorces (even for Biblical grounds); they should not remarry unless their spouse has passed away. It also states that if a divorced person remarries another person before the previous spouse dies; it is considered adultery.
We need to start following the Holy Word of God, or we, as God's people will be judged for our sins of omission.
When we have to put an individual or leader out of the church; it should be done with a grieving heart for their sins, and the congregation should be hoping and praying for the person's repentance before it is too late for that person.
It is really a very merciful objective to help a person involved in various sins to become convicted and repent.
Paul knew of sin in the Corinthian church in his spirit while he was away from the church. Paul was very concerned that the church was just ignoring the sin in the church, and so Paul told the congregation that they should deliver such a person to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the person's spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (I Cor.5:1-5).
Paul explained that allowing those in sin to remain in the church would defile the whole congregation and render it powerless for the Kingdom of God. In short, if the leaven is not removed; it will affect the whole lump.
Pray that all of those living in sin in your church will be identified, and they will be put out of the church; not only for the good of the church, but also for the good of the person who is willfully in sin.
The Lord Jesus Christ will be coming back for a pure and holy Bride. The Church, The Bride of Christ should be making herself ready for The Lord's coming.
I Cor. 5 gives us very detailed instructions as to how to cleanse our churches of all corruption; especially those in leadership positions who are hypocrites and in some cases ravening wolves.
The Bible tells us that we will know the Christians by their fruit. The Lord is about to spew the imposters, hypocrites and reprobates out of His mouth.
We need to become The House of Prayer for all nations and all people instead of a den of thieves.
Please pray that the Lord will expose all of the evil deeds of darkness in the churches and that He will destroy all of the works of Satan in the churches.
Let's pray: THY KINGDOM COME; THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN! HALLELUJAH!
1 Corinthians 5
1It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
2And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
1 Corinthians 6
1Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
7Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
15Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
