Seems to me
Seems to be
This world has gone all wrong
Afraid to die
Afraid to live
It feels we don't belong
Seems to be
Seems to me
This world has gone all mad
Hard to see
The good in we
We dwell so on the bad
With fingers long
We point out wrong
We shun, accuse and blame
Appointing guilt
Examples built
We bury Christ in shame
Filth is thrown
Upon our own
Salvation we profess
Through the mud
And bathed in blood
Unwilling to confess
Atrocity
Audacity
God hangs His head and weeps
When we stray
In this way
We empty heaven's streets
Our mouths speak
And show us weak
When profane words we use
We hinder
And render
Our speech as heaped refuse
What comes out
What we spout
Reflects what goes inside
When we shame
In His name
Spurs others to deride
We relent
We repent
And repeat the same old sin
So they turn
And they spurn
The example we show them
We must halt
This dead salt
And live what we say we do
Or else swell
The pits of hell
But that's just my point of view
