Author requests article critique

The artists paints the picture
As his brush follows commands
It's subject to the artist's will
No matter what he demands

The poet chooses his words
As the paper meets the pen
It's a marriage of creation
As the nuptials begin

The author seeks inspiration
To make his story thrive
He gives a piece of his heart
As his words become alive

The vocalist trains his voice
To welcome every note
His performance is the evidence
Of the life he must devote

The musician learns his instrument
As he works to polish his sound
While striving for perfection
His music has been found

No matter which one you choose
To be your form of expression
It can release our inner demons
And free us from depression

The one thing we have in common
While creating, with our heart
Is the passion that we feel inside
For this thing that we call "art"

Very nice and inspiring poem. It's nice to be reminded that lovely writing is as wonderful as lovely music (since I can't play or sing a note to save my life!)
