Are You Living Under The Law?

Are You Living Under The Law?

Romans 3:19-20 -“Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.”

God has clearly set forth a doctrine in His Word. The mandate is that if you live outside of the only one who can forgive your sins permanently, then you are living under the written Law known as the Ten Commandments given to Moses.

God used the Law to show man that they cannot ever live by the Law. If you or I could live by the Ten Commandments, we could enter into heaven. God tells us that not one of us on the planet could live a sinless life - except for Jesus.

God told us, in Romans 3:10 –“As it is written, There is NONE righteous…not even ONE.” If we think we can get into heaven by being GOOD most of the time, we are still being deceived by Satan because God told us – in no uncertain terms, “There is NONE who does good…there is not even ONE.”

Therefore, God is telling mankind that if they reject His Son, Jesus, and the work that He did on the cross to save them from the judgment for those sins, then they (you) shall, indeed, be judged by those same Laws.

Reviewing Romans 3:19 again, we get to fully understand God’s Law. It tells us that our mouths will be closed when we step in front of God during the Great White Throne of Judgment spoken of in the Book of Revelation.

When God asks us, “Why should I let you into my heaven?” , our answer must be, “Because I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and that only He can save me from the punishment of hell, and I believe He was raised again on the third day, and that He is truly your Son. I asked Him to come into my life and save me.”

God will say, “Because you have not rejected my Son…welcome into the glory of the Lord.”

To all others, God shall say, “You are being condemned under the Laws that I gave you….the Laws that you could not keep. You have chosen to live by the Law, and you have rejected my Son, therefore, depart from me and go to your reward.”

Would you choose today whether you will trust Christ…or whether you will choose to live by…and be judged by the Law?
