Poetry
I’m not a poet, this I’m aware
The things I write are for Him, I declare
What I write today may be grand
Yet yesterday’s words seem rather bland
If I write with praise seeking my own desire
Then I am a fool, blind to the One with power
As morning rises, my strength is in Him
Depending on His guidance against the wind
I‘m forever grateful of His love, I profess
Spreading His word to all in the name of Jesus
While birds sing their song, rejoicing today
My countenance smiles with joy, lost is dismay
The flame in my heart warms my soul
Belonging to Him who makes me whole
The fire of my eyes extinguishes the hate
Spreading the light to whomever in wait
