A Prayer for Little Boy Lost
by his mother

Sweet Lord Jesus, where did he go,
that young small boy who loved you so?
He prayed for his mom and his daddy too,
his old dog Delilah and his big brother Drew.

A happy guy, so full of joy,
where did he go Lord, my little boy?

You knew him, Lord, long before I,
as he grew in my belly waiting to spy
with his fresh small face, this great big place,
and he entered this world, with all your grace.

Where did he go, Lord, and what can we do,
to bring him back to me and to you?

He made many friends in the neighborhood,
at home and in school he liked to do good.
He ran through the cane fields with friends and his dog,
he liked to scare mom with a snake or a frog.

Where did he go Lord, what did we do,
to make him leave us and stop loving you?

As he grew older, life pressed in,
unable to cope, his troubles began.
His loving heart was wrenched and torn,
his once happy face strained and forlorn.

Oh dear Lord, why did he go?
Surely he knew how we all loved him so.

Time took its toll on Little Boy Lost,
he fled from life with tremendous cost.
We reached out to save him, but he would not hear.
Why can't he know that to us he is dear?

Dear Lord, please keep him while he's gone astray,
and return him to us in your will and your way.

Congratulations on making the Jewel Chest! This is so deserving of that honor and more. Our children are our vulnerable spots. I've been there, but now they are following the Lord. Don't stop praying, He loves them even more than we do and as you pray, the Spirit will work. I hope this poem gets wide coverage; it has a powerful message and one that many can relate to as well. Super job with this!

You know I love this, Margie. Congrats on making the jewel chest!

Satan can hurt us most through our children. The Holy Spririt asked me to hand over my son when I was beside myself with worry. Hand over your son to God and keep on praying for him. Euliza

You touched my heart with this. We still have our daughter and a relationship with her, but she doesn't care about a relationship with God. It does break a parent's heart.

I can feel the pain in your heart. A very powerful piece.
