Though we are His children,
we sometimes lose our way;
we cause ourselves deep heartache
because we go astray.
God's love sees a broken heart
and all the pain that's there;
His love hears the silent tears
that cry out in despair.
His hands reach out to pick us up
when we fall in the dirt;
then He takes us in His arms
to hug away the hurt.
No matter what we say or do,
we need only look above;
He is our Heavenly Father . . .
and there is no greater love.
