Stories are written to provide a lessen to a deeper meaning of life. Jesus was a great story teller. His stories are rich in spiritual meaning. The story of great faith is one in which we mat learn how to face life when everything appears to be going in the wrong direction.
A Roman commander asked Jesus to just say the word and it will done. We must have such confidence in the word of God that if it is just said, it will be so.
People are suffering more today than almost ant time in history. Jobs are being lost, homes foreclosed, and children are hungry. The governments are at a real lost. Our leaders have done all that they can do.
The real question is what can people of faith do under the present situation? The answer is one of faith. We must tell the story. That God will never leave us nor forsake us. Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God. This is the story. God's word shall never fade away.
Jesus died so that we may live. Sure the times are hard. Yet, what would they be like in an absolute Godless world? A world without love, joy, and peace are abound. When we get to heaven, all these moments of despair will not be remembered. This is a great story of faith. The bad will be gone forever, and we will live in eternal peace.
