ALWAYS MY VALENTINE
I watch her in the morning
While she’s in bed asleep
And know with no uncertainty
What’s in her heart that beats
There’s always reassurance
No one can take my place
She’s loyal and committed
I see it in her face
Her love never faltered once
In some plus twenty years
Weathering each storm of life
The good, the bad, the tears
She never fails to let me know
That I’m her special man
Not only just a husband
But a lover and a friend
Sands of life have weathered
And years taken their toll
Yet, her smile reflects the beauty
Of the many years ago
She’s anchored in that special place
Deep in this heart of mine
We’ll face each storm together
She’s always my valentine
