God, please, I’m on my knees . . . begging once again, my needs;
You know much more, I’ve been here before . . . though You don’t keep score;
It hurts me inside, to know ways I’ve lied . . . about Your Truth, I’ve denied;
My world’s asunder, the well’s dried under . . . with spirit fainting, from hope emptied hunger;
Lord, hear me say, penalties been pushed to pay . . . now, in Your Name, I humbly pray;
There never was a time, You were off my mind . . . except when these eyes, made me blind;
False choices that deceive, saddens hearts forced to grieve . . . unless Your Love, we do achieve;
My Christ, I know You see, how harsh life can be . . . with mercy calling, come draw alongside of me;
Forgive me, Saviour of all, despite each maddening fall . . . to once again, with You stand tall.
